Walking along the Basel Rhine, the Minster Cathedral (German: Münster Cathedral) is easily seen. Built between 1019 and 1500 in Romanesque and Gothic styles, it’s one of the main landmarks of the city.
This particular photo was taken in 2014. It shows the Minster bar at night, which has a special colorful illumination that only happened in 2014. Let’s hope that they repeat it again in 2016. Fingers crossed!
In this particular image, the color travels along an imaginary horizontal line which breaks the image into two parts. On the bottom, the color bleeds along the river towards you, presenting one of the many boats tied to the shore. On the top, the Minster Cathedral elevates itself between the buildings to show off its magnificence. All together it is a balanced calm vision, something nice to look at.
