I really love night scenes for many reasons. After night falls everything gets quieter, you are typically alone and can focus on the images. That quietness is reflected often and well in the scenes I capture.
This is my widest image so far and not by accident. Thanks to that mirror-like stillness of the water, it was possible to see a clear reflection of the museum on the fountain pool. Looking at the whole museum façade as a reflection on the small fountain pool really impregnates the image with a WOW effect.
This museum was designed by Mario Botta, and opened in 1996. The museum keeps a permanent collection of Jean Tinguely‘s kinetic art sculptures.
Jean Tinguely kinetic art sculptures are quite famous. The Tinguely Fountain in front of the museum was completely still, allowing me to capture its details during the night.
